SVG files come with a W3C recommendation and integrates with other W3C standards such as the DOM and XSL. Every element and attribute within the SVG file can be animated. These files do not lose quality when they are zoomed or resized. SVG is used to define vector-based graphics for the Web and defines the graphics in XML format. All modern web browsers support SVG files and can render their markup. SVG files can be edited with any text editor as essentially they are just XML files. SVG images and the behaviour of them are defined in XML text files. Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) are XML based vector image format for 2d graphics that support interactivity and animation.
